STATEHOUSE LOBBYING

Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 172 Lobbying at the Indiana Statehouse  In the past few weeks, our movement has made history!  But unfortunately, our numbers at the capitol have been dwindling and House Republicans are feeling emboldened.  They think they've won.  They think we've quit.  Last week Speaker Bosma even discussed ways to amend the falsely labeled "Right to Work' law and other bills we have killed and re-introduce them into other legislation.  We must continue to stand strong against this assault on working families.  The Indiana State Building Trades has agreed to set up a daily schedule of members so that we have representation to continue to fight against anti-worker legislation.  Every WEDNESDAY has been selected that all Plumbing & Pipefitting Locals in the State of Indiana request their 'retired and out of work members' to have a continued presence at the Statehouse.

As Business Manager of Local 172, I would ask any available retiree, out of work member, friends, or family to attend the WEDNESDAY Rallies at the Indiana Statehouse.  Please call the Local 172 Union Hall (574) 273-0300 for car-pooling information.

'This fight is too important to sit on the sidelines, we will continue to be down at the Statehouse day after day until this anti-worker agenda is stopped.'                         -----as quoted by Nancy Guyott, President of the Indiana AFL-CIO
